Organic Backyard Layer Pellets by Country Heritage Feeds are a blend of certified organic grains that are finely milled and then pressed into pellets, offering a consistent, nutritionally balanced diet ideal for backyard laying chickens. Typical ingredients may include certified organic cereals such as wheat, sorghum, barley, pearl millet and corn. The feed also contains certified organic vegetable protein meals, such as soybean meal, safflower meal, and sunflower meal, as well as fishmeal, meat meal, and other essential vitamins and minerals.
Hot Tip: The benefit of pellets is that they provide nutrition more uniformly, as they prevent chickens from picking and choosing as they sometimes do with whole coarse grains. Pellets have the same complete nutrition in each pellet, so they will always get all the needed nutrients.
Application - Formulated to exact high specifications as the CHF Organic Backyard Layer Mash, this pellet ration provides birds with all the essential vitamins and minerals necessary to maintain good health and promote consistently strong, shelled, vibrant eggs.
Feed Directions - This Organic Chicken Feed can be fed to birds at the point of lay (18-20 weeks), but it can also be blended with CHF Chick Starter/Grower from 16 weeks.
